Std Schnauzer Heart Tests
This is a special heart clinic being held only for Standard Schnauzers, and at an extremely reduced cost, to help establish parameters for evaluating heart disease in the future.
The testing will be performed at the host hotel and will include both heart auscultation (listen/eval) and heart echocardiogram. These two tests typically cost $250 - $300, but the price for both tests during this special clinic is $65.00 plus PayPal and online convenience fees.
SCHNAUZER PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF AGE & PREVIOUSLY SCREENED TO BE DCM NEGATIVE (non-carrier).

You must arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time. Dr. Leach will have, and use, OFA Advanced Cardiac forms to capture pertinent information. You will receive a copy of the form which you may use to register the results with OFA. (Note that OFA collects a separate $15.00 registration fee when you register your results.)
Additional information: The vet will NOT need to shave or clip your dog’s coat for the tests, but a small amount of rubbing alcohol and ultrasound get will be applied which can be easily wiped off afterward. Dogs will need to lay down on their side for the exam and be gently restrained by you. We will try to have an assistant available in case your dog needs an extra pair of hands to stay calm and comfortable.
Walk-ins will only be accepted if an appointment time is available and will be at full price of $220.
Please note!: The booking form captures the relevant information about the dog you're bringing to the appointment. Therefore, if you're bringing more than one dog you must choose your preferred time slot, complete the form, and pay for the appointment for the first dog before attempting to book an appointment for the second dog. That is, process each order/appointment separately - do not try to select two appointment times and pay for both at the same time.
